Pop Star

Michael Jordan Born February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, but grew up in North Carolina. He was fourth of five children in his family Michael was cut from his high school varsity as a sophomore, but worked harder than ever to achieve his goal of making the team. Michael improved dramatically, becoming a McDonald’s All-American High School Basketball Game by his senior year at Laney High School. In the college years, he Made the game winning shot in the 1982 NCAA Championship as a freshman Won College player of the year in 1984.He decided to leave college early and enter NBA draft, he was selected with the third overall pick by Chicago Bulls. He after 8 years of struggling, Michael Jordan finally won 6 NBA championships, Jordan amassed 6 NBA Championship, 5 times MVP’s and 6 times NBA Final MVP’s and is considered the greatest of all-time, he also is 1988 Slam Dunk championship. Why I choose this person because he told us never gave up, if you’re trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks, I've had them , everybody has had them. But obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

Reflection about the course

Time is running fast, at the begining of this semester, my friend told me pop culture is very cool stuff, it's all about music, star, movie. I felt curious and took this courese. We have learened culture, pop culture, moive, and music. I don't even know what pop culture is before I took this course. I have knew something about pop culture. Popular culture is the academic discipline studying pop culture from a critical theory perspective. It is generally considered a combination studies and culture studies. Populous mean the people, cultures means shared attitude, also means convention and invention. I also learned many important terms. For example Mainstream, Ethnocentrism , subculture, culture and so on. The most interesting part for me is music because we listen to music everyday; therefore, music has become part of my daily life. we can see people listening to the music whereever they can. We can see them on the bus, train and even walking, sometimes a song can describe the mood of person. I learned something that I didn't know about pop culture.

I'm going to summary Cultural Identity Glog. The poster can represent who we really are, I posted some famous fodd from my country that I also like it. Mupo Toufu and carb over rice is very popular in every chinese resstaurant. I post my favorite pop star, which is Katy Perry. She has beautiful voice that impressed me. Firework is one of my favourite song from her, because this song inspired me a lot and encouraging me. We are facing challenge everyday, we have get through these changlle. In life, the people are challenge to get they are really want to be, hopefully, we can carry this song and inspired. Find out those changlle are very diffcult to get past. I also post Kobe Bryant, he is my favourtie super star since I was in China.

Reggae

Today I'm going to talk about reggae. Regggae is a music genre developed in Jamaica in the late 1960s, and still popular today. Reggae is alwats played in 4/4 time or swing time because the smmetrical rhythnm pattem does not lend itself to other timesingnatures such as 3/4 time. The music is often very simple, and sometimes a whole song will consist of no more than one or two chords, Prominent artists is Bob Narley, Dennis Brown. There are many instruments of reggae. For exmple, drums, gurais, paino, horns and percussion.

Fad

My fad is p2p, actually p2p is began in 2000s, we also can p2p as peer to peer. P2P is computing or networking is a distributed application architecture that partitions tasks or workloads among peers. Peers are equally privileged, equipotent participants in the application. They are said to form a peer-to-peer network of nodes. Peer-to-peer systems often implement an abstract overlay network, built at Application Layer, on top of the native or physical network topology. Such overlays are used for indexing and peer discovery and make the P2P system independent from the physical network topology.
